Hair Transplantation
Considering the different needs of people, the treatment methods and content recommended for hair loss may vary. In people with hair loss, hair grafts are collected from the upper parts of the nape or, if necessary, from the beard parts under the chin, and transferred to the areas determined by the analysis and mapping made before the procedure. In this procedure, which is performed under sterile conditions, by expert teams in a hospital, the sparseness in the crown and forehead are treated by taking the hair follicles from the stronger areas, which are considered as donor areas, one by one, by applying local anesthesia and transplanting them to the areas with sparseness.
Looking at the history of hair transplantation, the first operation was performed in the United States in 1952.
The FUT method, which was used as the first hair transplant method, was actively used until the 2000s. It is the oldest method used in hair transplantation. In hair transplantation with FUT method, the hair is not shaved. The hair grafts to be transplanted are taken from the donor area by cutting together with the skin after local anesthesia is applied. In the FUT method, which is a surgical operation, because the incision is used, it is mandatory to suture the area where the incision is made. The cut strips are cut into pieces and placed in the transplanting area. 1 week after the procedure, the sutures placed in the donor area are removed.
At the beginning of the 2000s, the FUE technique was developed and started to be used instead of FUT. It is the most widely used and known technique. The FUE technique, which has been applied since 2004, is a technique that is extremely open to technological developments and has continued to be developed since the day it started to be applied. In this procedure, after the hair is shaved and local anesthesia is applied, the grafts are collected from the donor area one by one with the help of micro motor tips of 0.7-1 mm, then the canals are opened at certain intervals to place the grafts in the area to be transplanted, and inserted with forceps.
Today, the most natural results are obtained by using the latest technology in hair transplant operations using 2 methods. Among the FUE techniques, the Sapphire FUE is the one with which we can get the most natural results and the fastest healing process.
DHI CHOI technique is used for more successful results in patients who do not want to shave or who have a more minimal sparseness.
